A Diamond Legacy: Fashioning 60 Years
Origins Guyana is a visionary initiative supported by the Government of Guyana, and spearheaded by the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce. Under the theme "A Diamond Legacy: Fashioning 60 Years," the 2026 edition of the festival positions itself as the creative centrepiece of Guyana's Diamond Jubilee, backed by cash grants, a $1M top prize, and a mandate to take local design global.

Launch Event Highlights
The event, which attracted a vibrant crowd of local fashion enthusiasts, public officials, media representatives, and social media influencers, marked the continuation of a transformative journey for Guyanese fashion. Origins Guyana is not only a celebration of the country’s rich cultural diversity but also a testament to the growing recognition of fashion as a significant economic driver for the nation.
